Teaching Practice Week 5 & Week 6
Week 5 :
It was the fifth day of first term examination today I did not get any examination duty but got a chance to guide this special children to write their exams it was really a new experience for me all of them are really very good at speaking but somehow most of them didn't perform better academically. After the exam the 9th and 8th students came to me and all the exam was really easy that was a really proud and happy moment for me.
Day 18: 10 September 2024
It was a 6th day of first a term examination today I got exam duty at a room number 6 at morning session and the 9th standard students got chemistry examination then also I got afternoon session duty at room number 11 and I got the insight about the pre and post examination management and provided information regarding the examination in the exam hall. In addition I got the duty to distribute the rice to the special students.
Day 19 : 11 September 2024
It was the 7th day of the first time examination today I did not getting examination duty but got chance to guide the special children to write their exams it was really a new experience for me.
Day 20 : 12 September 2024
It was the 8th and the last day of the first term examination today I got exam duty at room number 11 and morning session and got the insight about pre and post examination management and provide an information regarding the examination in the examination hall after meeting all the teachers and advancely wish all the teachers Happy Onam and all the teachers greet at me back we left the school for Onam holidays.
Week 6:
Day 21 : 23 September 2024
It was reopening day of the school and also the observation day for me. So i met all the teachers and ask about your wel being signed the attendance register and started my duty at the front gate welcoming the students and maintaining discipline and got the period for class 9 and got some substitution period to control the class and provide fun mathematics reasoning question. Today it is special day that my observation had been done and expectedly the mathematics sir arrived at our school and attended my class at 9 standard where I prepare to teach chapter 4, multiplication identities and I prepared some activity cards to familiarize topic to find the product of two differences and presented the charts Tak explain the formula to find the product of two differences.
After recalling the previously learnt factors I give the student some question to make the student understand more about the word problems related to product of two differences they create their own equation by reading out the statement of question and solved it. Students where excited and engaged throughout the class and responders without any hesitation and our mathematics give valuable information to me and appreciated about being friendly and very deep in the concept in the class.
Day 22 : 24 September 2024
Today I prepare to teach class 9 chapter 4 multiplication identities a new topic to find the product of sum and difference using constructivist model . For that I prepared charts activity card and home assignment to make the concept familiar among the students. After recalling the previously learnt factors , I gave them the class assignments and activity cards regarding the finding the product of sum and difference. Student where really excited and engaged throughout the class responding correctly without any hesitation.
I had conducted diagnostic test for class 8 to find the difficulties of the lessons and provide remedial teaching as I got substitution periods.
Day 23 : 25 September 2024
Today I prepare to teach chapter for identities for class 8 standard student and I prepared a model ,a chart and even flash card to make the students understand about the variables identities and to make the understand about finding the product of two numbers without actual multiplication.
I told a story of a farmer to make the students interested in the topic of identities and thought them and easier method to find the product of two numbers even without actual multiplication and gave them activities and class assignment. The students were excited and engage throughout the class they were eager to learn the concept through the story narration.
Day 24 : 26 September 2024
It was the first day of arts festival at school so in the morning session the inauguration part of the arts festival was done by Shiju nellikad a famous artist, mimicrist and comedian serial actor he encourage each student with his blessed talent, by imitating the sounds of actors and politicians.
There were two stages in the first stage light music, classical music , Carnatic music competitions are held. In the second stage the poem recitation of Malayalam ,Hindi ,Tamil, Urdu , English and speech competition of Malayalam, English, Hindi and group patriotic song and group song we are also held at this stage.
I was assigned for the duty at state to for collecting the result and giving it to the appropriate verification for the final result. I also got the chance to maintain proper behaviour among student . I could understand the arrangements of arts festival and Tejas and study about cooperation among teachers.
Day 25 : 27 September 2024
It was the second day of art festival at school the competition started at 10:00 a.m. . At stage 1, the Bharatanatyam, kuchipudi, mohaniyattam, Nadodi Nirtham of UP, HS and HSS section has been held.
At afternoon session Kerala nadanam , oppana group dance, margamkali were held. At 7 p.m. all competition were over and the winners were announced for each competition.
From this art festival, I got insight about the pre and post preparation of art festival arrangement of stages l, score keys, judges. It was really a great experience all the teachers are very well cooperated and supported.
